Big data has been on the agenda of many companies for some time now. The central question is: How can the analysis and evaluation of ever-increasing data volumes and data flows as well as different data formats be successful? Only those who can draw the right conclusions from the huge flood of data and align their strategies accordingly will remain competitive in the age of the Internet of Things and Big Data. A database system that enables real-time analysis and evaluation of this data comes from SAP and is called HANA.
Does the following sound familiar? The basis of your reporting for controlling, accounting department or management is nearly always an Excel file or a bottom-up planning tool. The big disadvantage is that a spreadsheet calculation requires a lot of work and usually only the creator can make changes to it. In addition, spreadsheets do not offer the possibility of integrating data in real time or dynamic data. As a result, such data records often remain static and meaningless. Planning tools such as SAP BPC are highly complex, resource-intensive and slow. Here too, there is no possibility to visualize scenarios and simulate them ad hoc.

One of the two software solutions has been in our portfolio for a long time: the Value Driver Tree. We have been implementing it for some time now and was originally developed by Dolphin Dynamics. With the takeover of the software by Visual BI Solutions, further synergies arose for us and so we are now available as a service and implementation partner for another product, Visual BI Extensions (VBX).
