(Senior) Data Engineering & Data Science Consultant (all people welcome) in Greece - at best in Thessaloniki
And these could be your tasks:
- You are part of a cross-functional team with a focus on data engineering and machine learning
- You understand how to lead project teams and take an active role in machine learning projects for customers or internal projects
- You are confident in presentations to customers or in pre-sales meetings and act as a competent contact person
- You develop strategies for data-based solutions for our customers Holistic support from architecture to machine learning models to integration (End-to-end: from brainstorming to proof of concept to production and continuous improvement)
- You are the contact person for the specialist departments and represent the interface between IT and specialist departments in the field of machine learning and data science
- You are experienced in programming in Python
- You recognize potentials and project initiatives as well as market opportunities for new product ideas
- You contribute to the further development & use of our products and services
- You are interested in trends and topics, keep your knowledge up to date and create e.g. presentations, editorial content for our website or customers
What could your profilelook like?
- Completed studies in business informatics, computer science, mathematics, physics or engineering or a comparable scientific field of study / training
- At least 4-5 years of relevant professional experience in the data science and machine learning environment
- Knowledge of modern architectures of common cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, GCP etc. as well as on-prem solutions Experience with containerized environments
- Experience with big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.), NoSQL technologies and cloud services
- Advanced knowledge of Python, machine learning and/or data science stack such as Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch
- End-to-end integration of data/ETL pipelines, application of ML models and provision of results in existing IT systems are not voodoo magic for you
- Deep understanding of data structures, data management and their preparation
- (e.g. relational databases, SQL) and the theoretical foundations of machine learning
- You can develop machine learning (ML) applications, are fit in dealing with an ML and data science-related environment such as Matlab, Python and/or R as well as SQL
- You are a team player with a combination of technical understanding, strategic analysis and implementation skills
- You work independently and on your own responsibility , have a quick grasp of things and never lose sight of the goal and your customer
- Very good knowledge of Greek and business fluent English as well as strong presentation and moderation skills round off your profile
- You have flexibility and mobility (willingness to travel approx. 60-80% of the time)
